Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical, Cinderella, is set to resume West End performances in August

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cinderella

The Really Useful Group has set a new date for the world premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical, Cinderella, after its opening was delayed by Covid-19.

The show will resume performances at London’s Gillian Lynne Theatre on 18 August 2021, with opening night on 25 August.

After previews began on 25 June, the run was halted on 17 July after one of member of the cast tested positive for Covid-19, forcing the rest of the company to go into self-isolation in line with Government rules.

The resumption of performances ties in with the Government’s plan to end the rule on self-isolation in England on 16 August, meaning that only people with Covid-19 will have to self-isolate.

Really Useful Group has also today released a new trailer for the show.
