Full casting has been released alongside rehearsal photography for Blanche McIntyre’s production of Measure for Measure at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe

The full cast has been revealed for the new production of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure as part of the winter season at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe.
Just eight actors will play all the parts in the dark drama, directed by Blanche McIntyre, which sets the story in a turbulent Britain of the 1970s.
It runs in the candlelit theatre from 19 November 2021 until 15 January 2022, with press night on 2 December. It will be live-streamed on Friday 7 January.
The cast comprises Georgia Landers as Isabella, Ashley Zhangazha as Angelo, Eloise Secker as Mariana and Juliet, Gyuri Sarossy as Lucio, Hattie Ladbury as the Duke, Ishia Bennison as Overdone and Francisca, Daniel Millar as Elbow and Josh Zaré as Claudio. They will also play all other roles.

The creative team features designer James Cotterill, composer Tim Sutton, assistant director Craig Ritchie, choreographer EJ Boyle, customer supervisor Sian Harris, fight director Philip d’Orléans and lighting designer Malcolm Rippeth as candle consultant, plus Giles Block on text, Glynn MacDonald on movement, and Tess Dignan on voice.
The musicians will be Kat Gillham on piano and singing, Beth Higham-Edwards on percussion and Rob Updegraff on guitar.
