Magic Goes Wrong UK Tour has now concluded. In their biggest catastrophe to date, Mischief sent out an SOS to Penn and Teller to help.

Mischief Theatre keep coming up with new and more dangerous ways to put calamity on stages around the world. With Magic Goes Wrong they enlisted the help of Las Vegas’ royalty in the form of Penn and Teller when they couldn’t get anyone to get sawed in half (for obvious reasons!). Now following a year of “rehearsal” they are not only returning to the Vaudeville Theatre in October 2021 but they are announcing the Magic Goes Wrong UK Tour.

WHAT IS MAGIC GOES WRONG ABOUT?
Magic Goes Wrong follows a hapless gang of magicians as they stage an evening of grand illusion to raise cash for charity. As the magic turns to mayhem, accidents spiral out of control and so does their fundraising target!

THE MAGIC GOES WRONG CREATIVE TEAM
Magic Goes Wrong is co-created by Mischief Theatre who enlisted the help of Penn and Teller and their over 40 years of experience in magic, illusion and comedy.

Magic Goes Wrong is written by Penn Jillette, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Henry Shields, and Teller. The show is directed by Adam Megiddo, set design by Will Bowen, costume design by Roberto Surace, lighting design by Robert Howe, sound design by Paul Groothius, video design by Duncan McLean and original music by Steve Brown.

MAGIC GOES WRONG – WHAT THE CRITICS SAID
Magic Goes Wrong opened to critical acclaim with 5 stars from The Sun and 4 stars from all other leading national newspapers. The play has since been nominated for Noel Coward Award for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play in the 2020 Laurence Olivier Awards.
